Cali-Italian dining at its finest. Farm-to-table ingredients and housemade pasta. A fun wine list and veggie-heavy small plates to share. Good for hip clients (our waiter told me that the kitchen staff often “forages” for ingredients) and laid-back bosses looking to dine west of the 405.
Chef Jason Neroni has worked around the globe and is a long-time supporter of local farms and producers. Kudos to that.
Inside, it’s loud and you’re rubbing elbows with the guy sitting next to you at the communal-style table. Make sure to nab Boss a table on the patio for privacy and feeling Venice-chic on Rose Ave.
Focus on the pastas, namely: the Bucatini. Hollow, smoked, topped with a poached egg, pancetta, black pepper, and Parmesan. Rich, gluttonous, delicious, and pictured above. If Boss is adventurous, recommend the one of the two tasting menus.
Once the dining room opens for the evening, it’s first-come, first-served on a walk-in basis. Call prior to the hours listed below to get a reservation.
